The Avengers Comic Books and Graphic Novels

Welcome to The Avengers Graphic Novel, New and Used Comics section, Avengers Comics are published by Marvel Comics, The Avengers is a group of super-heroes who fight the foes no one superhero can withstand. The original Avengers line up was Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man and The Hulk. The team made its debut in Avengers #1 in September 1963. Captain America was discovered trapped in ice in issue #4 and joined them after he was revived. There has been various storylines and different series over the years including The New Avengers, The Mighty Avengers, The Young Avengers and Ultimates. In 2010 the new line up was revealed to include team leader Maria Hill, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Woman, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Spider-Man, the Red Hulk also joins the team at a later date.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye (Clint Barton) joined the Avengers in The Avenger Volume #1, May 1965. Hawkeye joined a travelling carnival at a young age and was taught by the Swordsman to become a master archer. He discovered the Swordsman was embezzling money but before he could alert the authorities he was beaten and left for dead.

After Hawkeye recuses Edwin Jarvis and his mother from a mugger, Edwin invites Hawkeye to the Avengers Mansion and after gaining their trust is allowed to join.

The Avengers film is set for release May 4, 2012.
