Captain America's alter ego is Steve Rogers, a sickly weak man who becomes the epitome of human perfection after agreeing to test an experimental serum during the war effort. His costume bears the American flag motive and he had an indestructible shield which he regularly uses as a weapon. His sidekick is James Bucky Barnes.

His arch enemy is the Red Skull, a Nazi agent real name Johann Schmidt, personally trained by Hitler himself, upon completion Hitler gave Schmidt a uniform which included the red skull mask. He was seen as the personification of Nazi intimidation.
