#1 The main character is a guy called Markham a hired assassin, issue #1 starts off with Markham being saved from an almost fatal gunshot wound by his friend/potential love interest Sutton. For a few seconds Markham is dead and he sees a glimpse of what lies ahead and he doesn't like it. He is given a chance to repent and goes out to save the life he was supposed to take.
