Spider-Man Comic Books and Graphic Novels
Welcome to The Spider-Man Comics section, The Spider-Man Comics are published by Marvel Comics, Spider-Man's 1st appearance was in Amazing Fantasy #15, August 1962. His real name is Peter Parker and he was raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. Whilst on a school outing he is bitten by a radioactive spider and then develops spider like abilities, he can climb walls, shoot webbing from his wrist, his strength is enhanced greatly. He also has spidey sense which alerts him to danger nearby. His Aunt May and love interest Mary Jane play a large role in the storylines also his enemies The Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, The Sandman, The Lizard etc.
Green Goblin
The Green Goblins 1st appearance was in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 July 1964, Norman Osborn became the Green Goblin after taking a serum that enhanced his physical abilities and intellect but also drove him insane, he took to wearing a Halloween style costume and call fly around on the Green Glider, he also uses an array of weapons.
Dr Octopus
Dr Octopus is an extremely intelligent scientist and inventor, he originally created the mechanical arms to assist him in his research, after the break off of his engagement and his mother's death he became more spiteful and malicious. After a radiation leak the arms became infused to his body and it also affects his mind and he started on his life of crime, becoming one of Spider-Man's arch-enemies.
Venom
Venom is a Symbiote, an alien life form. He appears as a black gooey like substance, to survive it needs a host to bond to, normally a human. The human host becomes enabled with enhanced powers, the 1st human it tried to bond with was Spider-Man but Spider-Man manages to reject it and so it moves on the bond with another human. It goes on to become one of Spider-Man's biggest enemies.
Hobgoblin
Hobgoblin real name Roderick Kingsley, Hobgoblin was a wealthy and corrupt fashion designer, upon discovering the Green Goblins lair he decided to take on the goblin identity, using the Green Goblins weapons he became an enemy of Spider-Man.
