Welcome to The Swamp Thing Comics section, The Swamp Thing Comics are published by DC Comics, Swamp Things 1st appearance was in House of Secrets #92 July 1971, Swamp Thing was created after scientist Alex Olsen was caught in a deliberate explosion in his laboratory started by co-worker Damian Ridge, who wanted Alex's wife for himself. Alex is then physically altered by the chemicals and the forces within the swamp and becomes the monster known as Swamp Thing.
Swamp thing has the ability to animate vegetable matter to create a body for himself, therefore if he gets attacked he can easily repair himself. He can control any plant life and has super-strength.
