Welcome to 30 Days of Night Comics section, 30 Days of Night Comics are published by IDW Comics, 30 Days of Night written by Steve Niles and illustrated by Ben Templesmith. The story takes place in Barrow, Alaska where in the winter there is no sunlight for 30 days, the vampires take advantage of this to openly attack the townspeople. The elder vampire Vicente hears of the vampire's plans and travels to Barrow to stop the attack as he was concerned about the publicity and therefore possible exposure of the vampire race.

In order to stop the vampires the town Sheriff Eben Olemaun injects himself with vampire blood to gain their strength, he there fights Vicente saving the remaining townspeople, but he dies when the sun rises. A very good read a remarkable twist on the usual vampire comics.
