Welcome to The Spawn Comics section, The Spawn Comics are published by Image Comics, Spawn 1st appeared in Spawn #1 May 1992, Spawn real name Albert Francis Simmons worked for the CIA in a division known as the U.S Security Group, during a mission in Botswana Simmons was murdered by his best friend Bruce Stinson (Chapel), Stinson was given the order by the group's Director Jason Wynn. Simmons is sent to hell and makes a deal with the devil that he will become a Hellspawn and serve Malebolgia if he can see his wife Wanda one more time.

Simmons returns to the world but is badly burned and disfigured, has very little memory but does have magical powers, Malebolgia assigns him a watchdog called The Clown, Spawn eventually realises that 5 years has passed and when he goes to see Wanda he discovers she has married Terry Fitzgerald, his best friend and they have had 2 children. Spawn also has the ability to transform, he has enhanced strength, speed and senses
