All prices are in £sterling and include VAT where applicable. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Ownership and title in the goods do not pass to the Customer until full payment has been received.
Order acknowledgements are emailed. The order acknowledgement is not a guarantee to supply and it is not an invoice. Customers should always check their acknowledgement to ensure that their order is correct.
We will always only email the order invoice unless you specifically ask for a paper copy to be included with the order.
You must be 18 years or over to make web, email and/or catalogue purchases.
There is no minimum or maximum order unless such is specified in a particular promotion or advertisement.
Ordering by mail: Please post off your order post to The Comic Book Store, PO Box 24039, Edinburgh EH7 9DE. To ensure items are reserved it is best to email or call us before posting order. Write up your complete order, along with our stock codes, together with your name & address (include your postcode). Give a contact telephone number (if possible) and your e mail address (if applicable). Enclose your correct payment or credit card details.
Cheques will not be banked until the first available item on your order is ready to ship. We then have to bank your whole cheque. We recommend that cheque customers ordering a number of pre-order/ out of stock items , send in several cheques to cover their order, which means that we automatically stagger payments when items are shipped separately.
Your cheque guarantee card number must be written on the back of your cheque. Cheques have to be cleared before parcels can be dispatched. Depending on the clearing banks involved, that process can take several days.
Postal Orders, when used to pay for orders are treated as cash and banked immediately.
We will always aim to provide accurate images for all products but occasionally the correct image may not be available, this normally would occur due to final artwork not being available.
Free gifts are only available whilst stocks last and can be removed at any time.
Price Correction
We will try to ensure that all prices on The Comic Book Store are accurate. If any pricing errors come to our attention, by whatever means, we will take reasonable steps to inform you and we will give you the option to reconfirm the Order at the corrected price or cancel it. If we cannot contact you, the Order will be treated as cancelled. If the Order is cancelled, for whatever reason, a full refund will be made.
Card Security
Payment can be made via Worldpay, Paypal or a Personal Cheque. We take all reasonable precautions to keep your order and payment details secure, but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred by you as a result of unauthorised access to the information which you have provided to us. You confirm that the credit or debit card with which you make payment is held validly in your name. We cannot be held liable for any delays or non-delivery which may occur if credit or debit card provider does not authorise payment. You should also ensure that any information supplied by you is correct before proceeding to payment. We do not accept responsibility or offer refunds if you provide incorrect information.
The Comic Book Store reserve the right to change, add or remove or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Please check the T&C periodically.
Pre-order
Here in our Pre-order Section, we list items due for release in the coming month, so you can guarantee you can get a copy of the latest releases, purchasing a pre-order item is the same process as purchasing any of our other items. We list the estimated release date on each item, if there are any changes to the release date we will email you with an update. All pre-order stock is posted out via Royal Mail 1st class to enable us to keep our costs down. Payment is taken when you place the order.
Release dates and comic covers are subject to change by the publishers but we will always do our best to keep you informed and supply the most up to date cover images. Several comics come with 2 or more covers, we cannot specify which covers we want when ordering, but in most cases the wholesaler will supply us with a selection. If you would like a particular cover please email us in advance of the release date or put a note on your order and we will try our best to supply you with the requested cover. Please note the items will show as in stock but obviously until we receive them they will not be despatched, we need to do this to monitor the inventory levels. You are free to cancel your order for a full refund at any time up until the release date, no questions asked.

Pre-order Order on Request
These items are not held in stock but we will contact the wholesaler and order them in for you, payment is taken when you place the order and it can take 2-3 weeks for the item to be delivered, we will email you once the item has been dispatched. Occasionally the item may not be available to order in this case we will issue you an immediate refund and email the customer with confirmation. At any point the customer is able to cancel their order and receive a full refund up until the day the order is dispatched. If the item is going to take more than 3 weeks to be delivered we will do our best to keep you informed and supply a more accurate timescale.
